A Brief Introduction to Northeast
Asia Development Research Institute
With the goal of
achieving the strategic goal of revitalizing the economy of North-eastern
China, vigorously advocated and organized in the early 90s of last century by
Mr.Ma Hong,the famous economist in China and under the care of Li Changchun,the
CPC politburo member, Northeast Asia Development Research Institute was
registered and approved by Liaoning Provincial People’s Government in Shenyang
in 1993. Northeast Asia Development Research Institute is a research-oriented
institute with the management of its self-controlled revenue and expenditure.
Currently it is under the administration of Economic Development Research
Center of Liaoning Provincial People’s Government on a commission basis.
Mr Ma Hong acts as Honorary Adviser of the institute.
Mr. Ji Zhong, the former head of Liaoning Provincial Commission of Science and
Technology acts as Adviser of the institute. Professor Jin Fengde of Dongbei
University of Finance and Economics acts as the president of the institute.
Those who act as the vice-presidents and executive members of the council are
as follows: Ding Liyi, vice-president of Liaoning Economic Management Cadre
Institute and the research fellow; Qu Hongming, the vice-president of Liaoning
Socialism College; Professor Liu Weidong of Dongbei University of Finance and
Economics; Tong Zhaolin, Director of Financial and Economic Committee of
Shenyang Municipal People’s Congress; Lu Shijia, Honorary Chairman of China
Logistics Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of Liaoning Logistics Chamber of
Commerce; Wu Hongying, expert in securities of Hengtai Securities Company; ; Li
Wenxin, Doctor of Science in Biology; Meng Ling, the manager of Liaoning
High-tech International Trade Company; Su Wenqiang, the Chairman of the Board
of Liaoning Qiangda Aluminum Engineering Company Ltd. Some personages and
experts from at home and abroad are engaged as the Senior Adviser of the
institute.

The guiding ideology and the goal of the institute:
Make every effort to transform Northeast Asia Development Research Institute
into Oriental Intelligence Resource Center serving China and the world with the
guidance of Scientific Concept of Development, with the predominance of
implementation of the strategies for revitalizing Old Industrial Base in
Northeastern China, with the carriers of the three platforms of Academic
Exchange, Development Research and Consulting Services and with the goal of
facilitating the further opening-up and reform and rejuvenation of Northeastern
China.
Currently, Northeast Asia Development Research
Institute is conducting further research in the area of soft scientific
research subjects, planning for international forum and talents training in
accordance with the strategic deployment of the provincial party committees and
provincial people’s governments of three provinces in northeastern China and
the requirements from the city governments and enterprises in northeastern
China. With the support of all levels of governments, open counseling systems
for the governments and the enterprises will be established, the perfect brands
in terms of international academic communication, high-level international
talents training, and Oriental Intelligence Resources Center will be created,
rendering strong intelligence support for the rejuvenation and development of
the economy in Northeastern China.
